The Interket Group announce the appointment of Craig Appleby in a new procurement role which has been driven by CEO Carl E. Parkander’s desire to align the strengths of the 5 label printing sites located in Denmark, Holland, Germany, Sweden, and the UK. This is the second Group appointment in less than a month following on from the appointment of a new Head of Strategic Development and demonstrating the ambitions of the Danish owned label printer. Both roles will report directly to the CEO.

Appleby joined the business in September 2018 working with Interket UK’s suppliers to develop new strategies to enhance demand. Subsequent success resulted in a move to this group role with a brief to strengthen supplier relationships pulling on an impressive track record spanning over 25 years in the print industry. Having performed roles in both commercial management and procurement for BemroseBooth supporting a number of key accounts such as Royal Mail, Deutsche Post accounts and more recently working in a Group procurement position for The Paragon Group. It is understood he will be managing the relationships of all the key suppliers to the Interket Group and working closely with the site teams and their local suppliers.

Mr. Appleby commented on his new role. “My focus will be to consolidate the strengths of all our sites by working with suppliers to continue to improve quality and productivity in what is an extremely competitive environment.” He adds. “Having worked in the UK market for many years I am looking forward to the prospect of working in a truly international organisation with a clear vision and appetite for growth.”

Group CEO Carl E. Parkander said. ”Craig has already identified some opportunities and generated several ideas on how we can work smarter, I am sure his experience will build on the momentum we are creating as we work towards a joined up Group strategy. We are keen to send a positive message to the industry that we see ourselves as one business with multiple service and delivery points.”
