Coating

We have many strengths, but the ability to coat our own label stocks is a real point of differentiation on 2 levels. Allowing us to add true value and a competitive advantage in international territories.

We run 2 coating lines at 1m and 1.3m wide which can apply both hot-melt silicone and water-based acrylic adhesives. A portfolio of label stocks includes combinations that match:

  • Film/Film
  • Film/Paper
  • Paper/Film
  • Paper/Paper

OPP, PP and PET can be coated in a variety of thicknesses that is driven by the finished label application. Our experienced Technical Sales Team consult with our customers to develop a substrate and adhesive specification fit for purpose.

Printing

Our flexographic print department operates 24 hours a day 5 days a week, therefore providing flexibility to react to meet customer requirements. In a deadline driven market this is a vital asset and something our longstanding on-roll and sheeted label customers have come to value.

Printing and inline finishing capability offers;

  • 2 x 8 colour UV flexographic presses printing to 520 mm wide
  • 8 colour water-based press printing 330 mm wide
  • 9 colour combined UV/water-based press printing to 250 mm wide
  • 6 colour A4 sheet label press printing 469 mm wide
  • 2 x lithographic presses printing 450 mm wide
  • Rotopress 6 colour printing 250 mm wide
  • Tayio forms combined letterpress/flexo press for continuous stationery and fanfold labels

Colour management is done on press with calibrated spectrophotometers and working to customer Delta-E tolerances.

Finishing

Having built a broad range of finishing capabilities to support a diverse and international product range we can combine;

  • De-lam

  • Unique ink-jet coding

Service

Working in Partnership: Trials and New Product Development projects with partners and customers are part and parcel of our continuous improvement culture. New customers are offered pre-supply visits a pre-print preview, trials/NPD, press pass, technical support, site audits and an open house policy that offers a refreshingly transparent approach to business. Customer pre-supply assessments and meetings are an invaluable added service and include the opportunity to clarify;

  • Application machine requirements
  • Materials and inks combination are fit for purpose
  • A written specification is then agreed prior to production/supply
  • A pre-print assessment to clarify the artwork prior to approvals
  • Press passes are also available upon request
